Workspaces

A workspace is your team's home. Each workspace has its own inbox, settings, and team members. Perfect for managing multiple brands or departments.

Conversations

Each visitor chat becomes a conversation. Conversations can be assigned, tagged with skills, archived, and reopened. All messages are stored indefinitely.

Agent Seats

Full team members who can view the inbox, respond to conversations, and manage settings. Each plan includes a set number of agent seats.

Swarm Pool

Temporary seats for occasional collaborators. Engineers or product managers can jump into conversations when needed, then release the seat back to the pool.

Skill Tags

Label conversations with required skills (e.g., "needs-eng", "billing"). Route conversations to team members with matching expertise.

Internal Notes

Private notes visible only to your team. Document context, link to resources, or collaborate on responses without the customer seeing.

How does Swarm Mode work?

Swarm Mode lets you bring in experts without needing full agent licenses. Here's how it works:

  1. An agent requests help on a conversation
  2. Experts with matching skills are notified
  3. An expert checks out a seat from the swarm pool
  4. They join the conversation and collaborate
  5. After 30 minutes of inactivity, the seat is auto-released

This means your engineers can help with technical questions without needing (and paying for) full support agent licenses.

Can I use Taktik with multiple websites?

Yes! You can install the widget on as many websites as you want. All conversations will appear in the same inbox. You can optionally create separate workspaces for different brands or teams.

What happens when I'm offline?

When no agents are online, visitors can leave an offline message. You'll receive these messages in your inbox and can respond via email or wait for the visitor to return.

How do I invite team members?

Go to Settings → Team and click "Invite Member". Enter their email and choose their role (admin or member). They'll receive an invitation email to join your workspace.

Can I export my data?

Yes! Pro and higher plans include CSV export for conversations, messages, and analytics. Enterprise plans include API access for programmatic data access.

Is there an API?

Yes! Pro and higher plans include full REST API access. Use it to create conversations, send messages, query analytics, and integrate with your existing tools. API documentation is available in your dashboard.
